Spring Start

Laurier's network of student support is here to help you navigate the steps to becoming a Golden Hawk so you arrive in May feeling prepared to thrive.

Laurier 101 is a campus-wide incoming student support program that supports you from the time you accept your offer until the first week of classes and beyond. We're here to answer your questions and make sure you are prepared for the time you'll spend at Laurier both inside and outside of the classroom.

Course Registration Support

Let us help you understand all of the new registration lingo so that you can get a strong start in your program. Our transition specialists are available to help guide you through the process of determining your program requirements, choosing electives, building your schedule and navigating the LORIS registration system.

Email laurier101@wlu.ca to request a virtual appointment to receive individualized assistance with your course registration. If you are a transfer student, we recommend that you connect with your academic advisor before this appointment, to determine how your transfer credits can be used in you program.

You can register for Spring 2024 term courses approximately 48 hours after you accept your offer of admission. Spring registration opened on February 23 at 10 a.m. Use the Course Registration Guide for steps and resources to complete your course registration.

Welcome Webinar

The Welcome Webinar is designed to help make the transition to university life easier by reviewing everything you need to know before you start your classes in May. We'll also chat about what to expect from your first lecture, how to effectively navigate MyLearningSpace, and why your syllabus is the most important resource for each course! You'll also be introduced to the resources and services available to support you in your first year.

A recording of this year's webinar is available for viewing. Connect with us if you have any follow-up questions!

Accessible Learning

If you're in need of academic accommodations the first step is to self-identify with Accessible Learning and provide current documentation from a registered healthcare professional (e.g. physician, psychologist or psychiatrist).

You can begin the registration process as soon as you accept an offer of admission to Laurier. It is in your best interest to begin the registration process as soon as possible.
