The BSc in Paramedicine is a new program that will continue to develop and adapt on a term-by-term basis. Courses are subject to change based on program development.
This program is part-time, which means that you can take one, two, or three courses per semester. There are three semesters in an academic year – fall (September to December), winter (January to April), spring (May to August).
The course material (including lectures) for each course will be delivered in a virtual asynchronous (VA) format. There are no set times to "be in class."
You can cover the course content at your pace, however, there will be set deadlines for assignments and tests throughout each term that you cannot miss.
We recommend allocating at least seven to 10 hours per week per course to complete the coursework.
This might go up (or down) depending on your familiarity with the content, the number of assigned readings, and the types and number of assignments and exams in each course.
Review the course outline early and often to ensure your are on track to meet the deadlines.
For your first few semesters, we do not recommend more than two courses per term, especially if you are a working paramedic.
Before you register for your courses, take a look at the course offerings below to see which courses are offered during the current academic year. The courses for all three semesters that make up an academic year are posted for registration in the fall semester.
