Program Highlights

  • A unique opportunity to learn about business and computer science while simultaneously earning two degrees from two universities in only five years.

    • In your first year, you will work in a team to generate and present a new venture for the BDO New Venture Competition.
    • In your third year, you will put your business knowledge and skills to the test during a 10-day Integrated Case Exercise (ICE), where you will analyze a real problem facing a real organization.
  • Graduates are in high demand in today’s information-rich society, where global organizations are looking for employees with both computer science and business management knowledge.
  • The University of Waterloo’s Computer Science program is accredited by the Computer Science Accreditation Council (Canada's Association of I.T. Professionals).
  • Take courses where you will gain an understanding of software, algorithms, programming and the limits of computation.
  • Explore opportunities to be creative and innovative and learn how to take your ideas and turn them into profitable new ventures. StartUp Lab, Laurier's incubator in the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, provides support, mentorship and resources to startups founded by Laurier students.
  • The Lazaridis Students' Society (LazSoc) is the student government specifically for all Business, double-degree, and Economics students at Laurier and includes a variety of clubs, committees and associations.
