Program Highlights

  • Only the best business schools worldwide are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) – the highest standard of achievement for business schools. The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics has been accredited since 2004.
  • The largest business degree co-op program in the country, which gives you the chance to explore different career options and develop skills for the future.
  • You don’t get a Lazaridis BBA, you live a Lazaridis BBA. Be immersed in the reality of today’s businesses and learn how to think for yourself. You will learn to adapt to a world of ever-growing complexity, and solve problems no one has faced before.
  • You can complete the Graduate Diploma in Accounting and move to Capstone 1 with CPA.
  • You can take recommended courses which will fulfill some requirements of the CFA designation (finance) and/or prepare you for the CFA designation/examination.
  • You can earn university credits required for the CHRP (human resources) professional designation.
  • Laurier is a leader in entrepreneurship and social innovation education. Explore opportunities to be creative and innovative and learn how to take your ideas and turn them into profitable new ventures. StartUp Lab, Laurier's incubator in the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, provides support, mentorship and resources to startups founded by Laurier students.
  • The Lazaridis Students' Society (LazSoc) is the student government specifically for all Business, double-degree, and Economics students at Laurier and includes a variety of clubs, committees and associations. LazSoc strives to enhance your university experience by providing opportunities to discover and pursue your passions through academic and networking events.

Enhance Your BBA Experience

  • Learn about co-op:
    • Apply at the end of your first year.
    • Complete co-op work terms, if you have been accepted.
  • Practice your investment skills with the Laurier Student Investment Fund.
  • Look for research opportunities at the Co-operators Centre for Business and Sustainability.
  • Represent the Lazaridis School at JDC Central. 
  • Attend the Supply Chain Summit.
  • Look into an international study tour with the International Business option.
  • Learn about media and grow your professional skills through involvement in Student Publications.
  • Apply for admission to the post-degree Graduate Diploma in Accounting if you are pursuing the CPA designation. 
  • Complete the Canadian Securities Course to become licensed to work within the Canadian securities industry.
