Congratulations and welcome, Golden Hawk! From the time you accept your offer until the first week of classes and beyond, we're here for you. 

Laurier 101 is a campus-wide program that provides exclusive content to you and your supporters to prepare you for the time you'll spend at Laurier both inside and outside of the classroom.

We'll assist you with the course registration process, show you how to navigate the world of remote learning and help you understand what it's like to be a student in the Laurier community. Stay connected and stay golden as you prepare. We're so excited to meet you.

Laurier's network of student support is here to help you navigate the steps to becoming a Golden Hawk, so you arrive in September feeling prepared to thrive.

Course Registration

There are a lot of options to consider when creating your first university class schedule. Check out our resources to help you through the process.


Prepare for registration. View a course registration webinar recording, review the Course Registration Guide, and create your class schedule.


Register for your Fall and Winter term courses. Registration opened for first year students on June 21. Register in at least one course before July 20 to avoid late fees. 


Get your registration checked by an Academic Advisor through the course registration check form.

Hawk Talks

Join your Laurier 101 Hosts and chat with senior students to gain insights about what it’s really like to be a Laurier Golden Hawk! Beginning in July, we’ll have weekly themes to help you learn about Laurier and prepare for classes.

Summer Webinar Series

We know you have questions and we’ve got answers! Our weekly webinars begin in July and cover topics including living in residence or off-campus, applying for scholarships, awards, and OSAP, getting involved, and so much more.

Kickstart 2021/22 with O-Week

This year's O-Week will be Sept. 6 to 11. O-Week at Laurier is a long-standing tradition that kick-starts your time as a Golden Hawk.

Join us for a week filled with events, sessions and experiences that will help you meet new people, discover new opportunities, prepare for your academics, and much more.

Prepare for Classes

Are you looking for a way to start strong and prepare ahead of beginning classes in September? Upgrade your study skills, brush up on academic writing techniques, and learn about the importance of Academic Integrity on your way to becoming a successful university student. The Academic Preparation Certificate is available to all incoming students and includes a collection of modules and activities to help you get ready for your academic life at university. 

For many students, transitioning to learning at a university can be a big change whether you are coming directly from high school, transferring from another college or university, or getting back to academics after some time away. There are many academic supports and services to help you transition to your new learning environment.
