Indigenous Student Services and Laurier 101 are here to support your transition to university. Starting in June, various events and support services are available to you, regardless of your campus.
We are excited to host a two-day orientation event, Aug. 29 and 30, 2024, for students in their first year at Laurier.
Day one: early move in (if you are living in residence) and getting to know the Indigenous Student Centre, Indigenous Student Services staff, and all about university. Your family and community are invited to join in too!
Day two: Let’s get to know campus, get a head start on academic writing and time management, and get to know one another a bit better! This day is specifically for incoming students only.
Students from the Waterloo, Milton and Online campuses are welcome to attend.
We are hosting a half-day event, Sept. 4, 2024, for you, your family and community to attend.

Students in their first year at Laurier are encouraged to participate in our SEEDs program.
SEEDs meets monthly for a meal, community building, and interactive sessions on topics such as academics, culture, social engagement, and wellness. Students who participate throughout the year are eligible to receive a stipend.
This program is open to all first-year students, including transfers, mature students, part-time, and full-time students.
Our support extends beyond transitioning you to university life.
The Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) offers many programs and services to support you during your time at Laurier.
