You're home! Whether you'll be living in residence or off-campus in our host communities, we have all the details you need to make Laurier feel like home.

If you're living off-campus:
Laurier and its Waterloo and Brantford campuses are located on the shared traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples. Laurier's Milton campus is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, and part of the Nanfan Treaty of 1701 between the British Crown and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

The safety of our community is our highest priority. It's important to familiarize yourself with our emergency procedures and opt-in to receiving alters from Laurier's Special Constable Service (SCS).
SCS will send safety alerts using a number of communication channels, including: email, SAFEHawk app, text messages and desktop notifications to Laurier computers. Here are some ways that you can make sure you receive these time-sensitive alerts:
As students, you are expected to engage in safe, responsible and respectful conduct. Look out for each other and remember, consent is mandatory.

As an undergraduate student, you are automatically a member of the Students’ Union. The Students’ Union enhances the undergraduate student experience through clubs and associations, programming and services, volunteer opportunities, and many awesome events hosted throughout the school year, making it the perfect place to get involved on campus!
At Laurier, there are over 250+ personal interest clubs, faculty-based clubs, and faculty associations. There really is something for everyone. And if there’s not, you can start your own club!
The Students' Union is also home to numerous programming and services committees – including Shinerama, Food Bank, and Food Patrol – who host a variety of events on campus and provide essential services to support you during your time at Laurier.
As a graduate student, you are automatically a member of the Graduate Students’ Association (or GSA for short) and can take advantage of all the resources designed to help you have an outstanding graduate student experience.
The GSA offers a variety of supports and services to assist all graduate students during their time at Laurier, ranging from wellness and academic success initiatives to professional development opportunities and social events.
They also offer a variety of paid and unpaid positions for folks who may be interested in getting involved in the graduate student community.
