Academic Skills Resources

The Centre for Student Success offers a number of learning inventories to help you assess and discover yourself as a learner. There are inventories to assess your academic skills, how you approach learning, your reading strategies, and your learning styles.

These online self-assessments take from a few to several minutes to complete and offer you instant feedback.

Workshops and Appointments

There are a number of workshops offered across both campuses on a variety of academic skills as well as individual appointments with a learning strategist.

Online Webinars and Handouts

We have produced a number of online webinars which offer comprehensive information and advice on various academic skills. These webinars and their associated materials are free for you to access at any time.

Of our downloadable, printable handouts, those developed by the Waterloo Study Skills and Supplemental Instruction Centre are marked with a (W); those developed by Brantford's Writing and Study Skills Services are marked with a (B). In some cases, the resources developed for one campus correspond better with the programs and expectations there.

Laurier is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all students, including students with disabilities. If you have an accommodation request for any of our services, please email (Waterloo) or (Brantford).
