Orientation Week

Orientation Week at Laurier has a long-standing tradition of giving students a fun and informative start to their time at Laurier. Senior students, called icebreakers, will guide you through your first week at Laurier while introducing you to the campus community and campus culture.

Orientation week runs in September and has something for everyone.
Organized by the Students’ Union, Orientation Week includes:

  • Faculty receptions and sessions to introduce you to key advisors and program resources.
  • Student success discussions and a "campus resource" fair.
  • A "get involved" fair to help you connect with campus clubs and activities.
  • Large scale evening entertainment such as:
    • A concert;
    • A headphone disco;
    • A mentalist; and
    • A carnival.
