Wellness

Your personal wellness matters. These ASPIRE program workshops provide you with the skills to manage your time, mental health and work-life balance. Topics covered include, disclosure, gendered violence equity and diversity, and how these issues intersect with your personal life, teaching, research and career readiness. The workshops aim to foster self-awareness and mindfulness, particularly in your scholarly and professional life.

In order to maintain your wellness, consider all of its interconnected dimensions: mental, physical, social, financial, spiritual, environmental and vocational. They all require a proactive approach to stay well and live a balanced life. There are campus resources and strategies to enhance each dimension of your wellness.

Mental Health

At Laurier, you have access to a wide range of resources to both promote and maintain good physical, emotional and mental health. There are resources to help you in times of crisis, and resources to help you take a proactive approach to help protect you from mental illness, and to help you enjoy life to the fullest. Thrive, for example, is a weeklong series of free events for everyone on campus, running every October and January. Thrive is overseen by Laurier's Mental Heath Advisory Committee, and incorporates student input and feedback when planning the week.

Student Wellness Centre

Laurier’s Student Wellness Centres are the home of all physical, emotional, and mental health services.
