    Exam Preparation Appointments

    Chatting with a learning consultant – or a Peer Academic Coach (undergraduate specific) - is a great way to ensure you’re on the right track and ready to write your exams. Topics of conversation may include:

    • Creating a comprehensive study schedule to keep you on track and taking breaks;
    • Studying effectively to make the most of your study time;
    • The difference between in-person and online exams;
    • What you should be doing the weeks, days, night, and hours before your final exam to prepare;
    • Managing test-anxiety;
    • And anything else you want to chat about!

    Visit the Student Success Portal to register for an Academic Skills (ASk) workshop or book an Exam Preparation or Study Skills appointment with a Learning Consultant or Peer Academic Coach.

    Math and Course Support

    From formulas and statistics to computer coding and algebra, the Mathematics and Course Support team can support your number needs.

    Supports and resources include:

    • Drop-in support: Connect with a senior undergraduate student for one-on-one peer assistance. Multiple in-person and virtual options available for students at the Brantford and Waterloo campuses will continue to be offered throughout the exam period.
    • One-on-one consultations: Chat one-on-one with professional support staff.
    • Course-specific assistance: Through weekly directed homework sessions (100-level courses), you can make sure you’re keeping up with course material and understanding the concepts that are taught.

    Mock Exams

    Get a golden start on your finals by taking mock exams and attending review sessions, available for many 100-level math courses.

    Additional Course Support

    Drop-in support, facilitated by senior undergraduate students, offered for first-year chemistry, organic chemistry, applied health studies, 100-level coding courses in computer science, accounting, and economics.

    Visit the Math and Statistics Learning Support / Course Learning Support MyLearningSpace pages for an updated schedule of sessions during the exam period.

    Supplemental Instruction (SI) Sessions – Waterloo-Specific

    SI sessions enhance your studying and are your opportunity to ask any outstanding questions about course material. Please note: times and dates are subject to change and students should refer to the News Item within the SI MyLearningSpace page to confirm dates and times of final sessions for the term.
