Drop-In Help

Have a math question? Need help with that stats formula? Students can obtain assistance understanding concepts from a variety of areas in mathematics – fundamentals, algebra, calculus, proofs, linear algebra, financial math, probability and statistics, etc.

The Mathematics Assistance Centre (MAC) operates a traditional drop-in help centre, in which senior undergraduate students provide assistance to any student seeking help with:

  • General mathematics questions at an introductory level.
  • Any 100-level mathematics course.
  • Selected 200-level mathematics courses: MA201, MA205, MA215, MA222, MA241, ST230, ST259/260.
  • Any introductory statistics course offered by any of the academic departments: BU/EC255, EC245, EC285, PS295/296, GG254/258, PO218, SY382.

Drop by with a quick question in between your classes, or plan to stay for a while to work on assigned homework problems, individually or in small groups.
