English Language Learners

We welcome all students for writing support regardless of their levels of English-language proficiency. Our team will work with you on issues related to types of writing assignments, standards of university writing, grammar and vocabulary development, and citation techniques. If you have any questions about English language support, email Writing Services (Waterloo) or Learning Skills and Development (Brantford).

Our extensive collection of resources provides English language learners with important information about academic writing.

English language learners should also check in with Laurier International about upcoming workshops.

In the Fall of 2020, we will be offering a limited number of appointments specifically for English language learners. We will also be hosting a weekly chat on academic writing for English language learners. You can book these appointments (as well as any other writing appointments) through our appointment portal. If you have any questions about support we offer English language learners, please contact us.

Learning Skills and Development offers support to multilingual learners at the Laurier Brantford campus in the form of consultations, peer language support and writing resources. We also offer a weekly drop-in for all international students (including LEAF students). If you have any questions about English language support, please contact us
