The 2020 Donald F. Morgenson Award for Teaching Excellence: Innovation in Teaching goes to Dr. Nathalie Freidel

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Nathalie Freidel has been awarded the prestigious Donald F. Morgenson Award for Innovation in Teaching this year. Dr. Freidel was commended for her student-centered approach to teaching and her deep commitment to creating innovative and dynamic learning environments for our students. Dr. Freidel regularly teaches FR290: A Journey through French Literature; FR332: Freedom of French Classicism; and FR433: Voltaire and Cie. 
More recently, Dr. Freidel has added FR240:Media and the News in French and MI288: Mare Nostrum: Multicultural Cities: Paris and Marseille to our course offerings. In these classes, Dr. Freidel takes students on "voyages of discovery, encouraging them to map their own journeys through francophone literatures and cultures". Dr. Freidel is an exceptional professor whose dedication to and innovation is second to none. Congratulations!
