Awards and Funding

The university has numerous opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students looking to secure funding for future academic studies. Funding is available through both academic achievement or financial need. Students who are interested in learning about these opportunities should review the information provided by the Student Awards Office which oversees the administration of all financial opportunities on behalf of the university.

Additionally, the university offers a program designed to assist students with money management while at university. “Dollars and Sense” is designed to help decrease financial stress and increase financial wellness.

Graduate students should visit Graduate Funding and Awards. You can also search for specific awards on LORIS. However, the following may be of special interest to Chemistry and Biochemistry students.

  • Marjorie H. Brown Scholarship in Chemistry
  • Elizabeth Dominik Szabo Award in Chemistry
  • Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA): Students must access the NSERC e-portal to print a hard copy of the application. The completed application is to be submitted to Jane Davidson, administrative assistant, room N3013A.
