Position posting: Instructional assistants for HE201: Research Methods for the Health Sciences

One instructional assistant (IA) is required for HE201: Research Methods for the Health Sciences (fall 2018). HE201 is an introduction to the various methods used in the collection and analysis of data in the field of health sciences, including: research design, sampling, experiments and surveys. Reliability and validity will also be discussed.


The IA will assist in: 

  • answering student emails
  • aiding students in learning the course materials
  • proctoring examinations
  • grading assignments and examinations


The ideal candidates will have a passion for the subject area, be excellent communicators, and demonstrate strong leadership skills in facilitating learning objectives. Successful completion of an undergraduate Research Methods course with a minimum grade of A is required in order for your application to be considered.

Hours of Work

A total of 130 hours to be worked between Sept. 6, 2018 to Dec. 20, 2018.

Rate of Pay

  • Fourth-year undergraduate: $21.70 per hour.
  • Third-year undergraduate: $20.60 per hour.
