J. Stewart: Calculus (Early Transcendentals), 7th or 8th Edition, Brooks/Cole.


Students may only use the approved scientific calculator, Casio FX-300MS Plus, on course tests and the final examination. No other calculator is allowed. It is available for purchase at the campus bookstore.

A final mark out of 100 will be calculated as follows:

  • Clickers: 5%
  • Laboratories (including WeBWorK Homework and Quizzes): 30%
  • Midterm Test (Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 2:30 p.m. - 3:50 p.m.): 25%
  • Final Exam (2.5 hours, exact date, time and location to be announced): 40%

To be eligible to pass this course, a student must score at least 40% on the final examination. The final mark will be reported as a letter grade in accordance with the conversion table of the current undergraduate calendar.
