A detailed examination of a special topic not covered by the Department's regular course offerings. The topic and evaluation scheme must be approved by the Department.

Calculators

Students may use a non-programmable, non-graphing calculator on the midterm test and the final examination.

Evaluation

A final mark out of 100 will be calculated as follows:

  • Four Assignments: 20%
  • Midterm Test (Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, in class): 35%
  • Final Exam (2 hours, exact date, time and location to be announced): 45%

The final mark will be reported as a letter grade in accordance with the conversion table of the current undergraduate calendar.
