Dome of the rock in the holy land

Study Tour

For more than a decade Waterloo Lutheran Seminary has been helping people of faith make meaningful connections with people and places in the Holy Land. The seminary’s Face-to-Faith program tries to bring together folks from various faiths, cultures and locations to help them build bridges of understanding. The school is offering this program again from April 30 – May 14, 2017.

If you would like to receive registration information as it becomes available, please go to our continuing education email list.

Canadians from across the country have participated in past study tours: students and faculty; people from various fields, disciplines, and vocations; as well as people from faith communities, and people not attached to any faith community. Their contributions to the rich mixture of discussion, reflection, and learning have enriched the program. This study tour is an ecumenical, multifaith, interdisciplinary, cross-cultural experience that has been a life-changing experience for many people who have participated.

Students can use the travel experience to take up to two academic credits, through blended online learning courses, during our May to August spring-summer term. Students from other educational institutions are welcome to take this study tour for credit within their school's program. All they need to provide is a Letter of Permission from their institution’s academic dean or person responsible. The seminary can then make arrangements to transfer the credit(s)
