Guests and Tickets

Safety Protocols

Laurier’s Face-Covering Policy will be in effect at the time of the event:
  • Graduates will be permitted to remove masks when crossing the stage.
  • Graduates and guests will be permitted to remove masks in designated photo areas.

Passive symptom screening is recommended prior to arrival.

Ceremony Tickets

All ceremonies are ticketed events and tickets can only be claimed by the graduating student. 

You may claim two guest tickets upon paying your attendance fee. If there are additional tickets after round one, they will be available on a first come, first served basis. 

RSVP and claim tickets by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 17, 2022.

Accessibility and Accommodation Requests

Both venues are equipped with:

  • Large screens to view the event in real-time.
  • Professional AV specialists ensuring an optimal auditory and visual experience.
  • Washrooms.
  • Seating.

If applicable, indicate the accessibility requirements of your guests when reserving your tickets.

Exception Requests

Students must graduate with members of their faculty. For unique exceptions, written requests may be submitted prior to May 1. Venue constraints and other variables will be taken into consideration in reviewing such requests.

Day of Ceremony Information

General Information

  • Please ensure to arrive early and leave ample time to park, walk and find seating
  • Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult guest
  • Look for our Guest Services station should you have questions or require assistance


Brantford ceremonies will take place at The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts

Waterloo ceremonies will take place at Lazaridis Hall

  • Doors open one hour prior to the ceremony; general admission.
  • Children, 2 and under, who will sit on a lap do not require a ticket.
  • Strollers are not permitted in the auditorium.
  • Only bottled water is allowed in the theatre; other food and beverages are strictly prohibited.

Ceremony Live Stream

For guests who are unable to attend the ceremony in person, a live stream on Laurier Live will be available approximately 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time.
