Getting Ready for Remote Learning this Spring/Summer
April 30, 2020
As many of you are preparing to start your remote learning in the coming weeks, there are a few steps that you should take to ensure that you are ready.
- Make sure that your Laurier Zoom account is set up and ready to go before your first class. Many classes offered through remote learning will require you to use Zoom Communications web-conferencing. We have created a useful guide to show you how to get started using your mylaurier.ca email address.
- As always, Laurier provides Microsoft 365 to every student free of charge. To get your copy, visit the Software Page.
- AppsAnywhere is now available off campus. AppsAnywhere is a free service that is available to Laurier students, staff and faculty to access a variety of software, on-demand, anytime, from anywhere. It is currently only available for Windows 10 users and if you require it for any of your classes, please visit the AppsAnywhere webpage to learn how to set it up and get started.
If you have any issues connecting to any of these services, please contact the ICT Service Desk by emailing support@mylaurier.ca.
