Applying to Residence

We provide residence for first-year, senior, graduate, exchange and LEAF students. See application processes for:

2020/21 Residence Admissions

Currently residence is at full capacity at both the Brantford and Waterloo campuses. First-year students interested in living in residence for the school year (Sept 2020 - Apr 2021) may complete a Waiting List Residence Application.

Students applying to the waiting list are not guaranteed a space in residence. As cancellations are received and spaces become available throughout the summer, the Department of Residence will be contacting students on the waiting list.

Winter Term Residence Admissions

The residence application for the winter term (Jan - Apr 2021) will be available in early fall.

Students interested in applying for residence for the winter term only may contact the department of Residence in October to enquire about residence availability.

We can provide you with information about which buildings have openings and how to apply for residence. Room assignments are completed in December, and you would be allowed to move in the day before classes start in the winter term.

Residence is not guaranteed for the winter term.

Medical and Disability Accommodations in Residence

Laurier's Department of Residence strives to create inclusive communities and provide housing options that accommodates the needs of persons with documented medical needs and disabilities.

If you require accommodations in residence based upon a documented medical condition or disability, you must submit a completed Residence Disability and Medical Verification Form. This form can be downloaded from within the online residence application and must be completed by your registered health care professional. Completed forms must be received in the Department of Residence by the deadline noted within the residence application.

Food Services is able to accommodate many dietary needs such as allergies or food intolerances, vegetarian, vegan, no gluten, halal and prescribed diets. Feel free to contact Food Services with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your dietary requirements.
