Applying to Residence: Exchange Students
To accommodate the various and growing number of student exchange programs in place at Laurier, a limited number of residence beds are reserved for exchange students. The accommodations for exchange students are single rooms within an apartment-style residence.
Login Information for the Online Residence Application
If you are interested in living in residence, you will need to complete the online application. To access the online residence application system, you will need to use your Laurier username and password.
Terms of Your Contract
In completing the residence application, you will be agreeing to the terms and conditions contained within the Residence Hall Agreement. This agreement will outline the length of your residence contract.
If you are successful in obtaining a space in residence, you must stay in residence for the entire period of time for which you have applied. This could be the fall term (September to December), the winter term (January to April) or both fall and winter terms (September to April), as indicated on your residence application.
If you choose to leave residence before the end of the agreed-to occupancy period, you are still responsible for the full fees for your assigned residence room for the entire occupancy period.
You are strongly advised to consider the financial implications of this decision before accepting the terms of the Residence Hall Agreement and committing to live in residence. In previous years, some exchange students have been able to arrange less costly private accommodations in the community, and prefer to live there.
