Wellness Education

Student success at university is enhanced by health promotion, wellness education, and disease prevention. The Student Wellness Centre on the Waterloo campus enhances the physical, emotional, and psychological health of students at Laurier by promoting proactive wellness strategies and resources. Educational initiatives led by both peers and professionals are offered year-round and open to all Laurier students.

Peer Wellness Education

The Peer Wellness Education team supports the physical, emotional and psychological health of students at Laurier by promoting proactive wellness strategies and resources.

Under direction of the wellness education coordinator, peer wellness educators research, develop, and deliver a variety of health and wellness initiatives to engage students in learning about healthy living for the enhancement of their academic and personal success.

As part of a dynamic team, volunteers in this program also benefit personally from the development of their knowledge in health and wellness promotion, from building campus and community networks, and by growing their leadership, team and communication skills. Volunteers receive recognition on their Laurier Experience Record.
