Share your university experience by completing the CUSC-CCREU 2022 Survey of First Year Students survey by April 4, 2022. Check your @mylaurier.ca email for the survey link because the links are unique to you and can only be used once.
You will also be automatically entered into a draw to win one of three Laurier Bookstore gift cards valued at $100 each. Winners will be contacted via email after April 2022.
Your participation is completely voluntary and you do not have to answer every question.
By completing the survey, you are making a substantial contribution to future research that identifies changes and patterns in the experience of undergraduate students from Canadian institutions.

I am writing to request your participation in the CUSC-CCREU 2022 Survey of First Year Students. This study is being conducted at more than 35 Canadian institutions to help us learn about our students and their experiences at university. By completing this survey, you are making a substantial contribution to future research that identifies changes and patterns in the experience of undergraduate students from Canadian institutions.
You can participate in this important project by clicking on the link below and completing the questionnaire. This survey has been approved by the Office of Research Services under file #2021-97 as per University Policy 8.2. The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. By completing the questionnaire, you will automatically be entered into a draw to win one of three Laurier Bookstore gift cards valued at $100 each. Your contact information will only be used to notify you, should you be the winner of the draw and will not be associated with your survey responses. The winners of the gift cards will be contacted via email sometime after early April 2022. All emails will be destroyed once the winners have been determined.

Since this survey employs e-based data collection techniques, the confidentiality and privacy of data cannot be guaranteed during web-based transmission. The de-identified results will be retained indefinitely by Laurier’s Institutional Research and Planning Office. This office will make every effort to keep survey responses confidential, although absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Survey responses will be aggregated and shared in a final report seen by participating CUSC member institutions, senior administrators at WLU and staff members within the Institutional Research and Planning Office. If you agree to participate we ask that you complete a web-based survey that will take about 20 minutes to complete (details below). Responses will be logged, such that reminder notices are not sent to those of you who have responded. CRIEVAT has been provided with some identifying information, including your name and student email address. All identifying information will be removed prior to analyses. Your responses are strictly confidential and will not be attributed to you personally. Participation in this study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate, or choose not to answer any questions or withdraw at any time. Completion of the survey indicates your consent to participate in this research and to have your responses included in the final survey dataset. There are no known risks to participating in this research.
