First-Year Student Dominique Shantz Wins in New Researcher Category in ACERS
First-year HRHD student, Dominque Shatz won in the Early Researcher category in the annual ACERS (Academic, Creative and Engaged Research Showcase) research competition on Laurier's Brantford campus for her poster presentation of an essay she submitted in HR100 titled, "Honour Killings in Jordan: Observing the Phenomenon Through a Human Rights Lens."

She told the audience that she was inspired to research this topic as she had been in Amman, Jordan before commencing her studies at Laurier.
