The focus of this professional practice course will be on the ecological and social
dimensions of climate change & protected areas management, including aspects of
biodiversity conservation & visitor management. Students will learn from Canada’s
broad conservation practitioner community, conduct a climate change vulnerability
assessment for a protected area, and learn how protected areas can be a
“natural solution” to the climate change problem.
