Calendar Description
Basic graph theory, Euler circuits and Hamilton cycles in graphs, planar graphs, graph colouring, trees, relations, partial orders, introduction to counting, recurrence relations, inclusion-exclusion.
Prerequisites
MA121 and an additional 0.5 MA credit.

Calculators
Students may only use the approved scientific calculator, Casio FX-300MS Plus, on course tests and the final examination. No other calculator is allowed.

Evaluation
A final mark out of 100 will be calculated as follows:
- Quizzes: 20%
- Midterm Test: 30%
- Final Exam (exact date, time and location to be announced): 50%
The final mark will be reported as a letter grade in accordance with the conversion table of the current undergraduate calendar.
