Enhance your money management skills and confidence by earning your Dollars and Sense Money Management Certificate remotely on My Learning Space.
This non-credit certificate is based on four foundational components of financial knowledge:
Each asynchronous module is designed to allow participants to engage and apply material through activities and reflection.
You are required to complete all four core modules to successfully earn the certificate and recieve Laurier Experience Record credit.

The Budgeting basics module teaches you about the fundamentals of budgeting and examines how your perceptions, values, and goals affect the way you develop and follow a budget. In this module you will learn about your internal drivers, your current financial situation, and leave with a personal spending plan that accurately reflects your values and needs.
After completing the Budgeting Basics module, you will be able to:
The Credit with Confidence module emphasizes the role credit has on your financial wellbeing and the impact personal spending habits have in determining debt levels. In this module, you will learn about the different types of credit, review how you use your credit, and create a strategy to maintain or improve your overall credit.

The Informed Investing module will explain how personal goals, comfort levels, and method(s) of investment lead to an investment plan that suits you! During this module, you will learn about your internal drivers, establish a foundational knowledge of investment strategies, and generate an awareness of the resources available for continued learning.

The Financial Future module builds on previous workshop content and explores the impact financial planning has on your financial wellbeing. Throughout the module you will reflect on personal goals to determine a plan of action for the future, review strategies for maintaining a long term financial plan and increase your awareness of resources and tool available to expand your knowledge.
