Q. I’m experiencing issues logging in with my SSO credentials, who do I contact?
A. If you are experiencing issues logging in through Laurier's Qualtrics site (https://wlu.ca1.qualtrics.com/), please submit a ticket via ICT Service Desk ticketing system. If you are a student experiencing login issues, please contact the Service Desk at support@mylaurier.ca.
Q. How do I log a support ticket with Qualtrics Support?
A. As of May 13, 2019, Qualtrics users seeking Support are required to login to the Support Center in order to submit a Support Ticket. Qualtrics issued this change as it is a required security update that ensures the utmost privacy of our user’s accounts, including preventing anyone from posing as another user. Please following these simple instructions to login to the Support Center to submit your ticket:
Q. I’m new to Qualtrics, where should I begin?
A. After creating your Laurier Qualtrics account, we recommend you review the Basic Overview Guides provided by Qualtrics. They can be found below:
Q. Are there any training videos to get me started with Qualtrics?
A. Qualtrics Support offers on-demand and live webinars, which are available to all users.
Q. How do I create a survey in Qualtrics?
A. There are several ways to create a survey (i.e. create a blank survey, create a survey from a copy, create a survey from the survey library, etc.). Review the instructions on how to create a survey.
Q. Can I access the “Offline-Survey App” feature in Qualtrics?
A. Unfortunately, at this time the Offline Survey App feature is not available through the university-wide license. If you would like to personally purchase this feature, please contact qualtrics@wlu.ca for more information.
Q. I’m leaving Laurier and joining another institution, can I transfer my Qualtrics account?
A. Yes! Please contact qualtrics@wlu.ca to initiate a User Move Request. For more information on the user move request process, visit User Moves.
Q. Can I transfer survey ownership?
A. Yes! Please contact qualtrics@wlu.ca and request a transfer of survey ownership. One of our Laurier Brand Administrators will complete the transfer. We must have written confirmation and permission from the original owner of the survey and the new owner of the survey.
Q. I’m working with several peers on a large project, can we create a user group to share surveys?
A. Yes of course! Please contact qualtrics@wlu.ca and one of our Laurier Brand Administrators will create a user group for you and your team. Please provide a list of all users who will need access to the group and whether or no they will require specific permissions. Q. How do I join a user group?
A. Please contact qualtrics@wlu.ca and provide the name of the user group you would like to join your group.
Q. How do I check Survey Accessibility?
A. Qualtrics Check Survey Accessibility feature diagnoses your survey, indicates which questions are inaccessible, and gives other recommendations for increased accessibility to help you work towards compliant surveys. Read the instructions on who to check survey accessibility in Qualtrics.
Q. How do I share a survey with someone?
A. The collaborate feature allows you to give other Qualtrics users access to your surveys when they log into their accounts. That way, you can work on the same project without giving out your account information. For more information on how to collaborate with other users, visit Collaborating on Projects.
Q. When I share a survey with someone, can I restrict what access they have to the survey?
A. Yes, you can choose to restrict what type of access other users have to your project. For more information, visit Collaboration Permissions.
Q. Can I collaborate with users outside of the Laurier Qualtrics license?
A. Yes! Read instructions on how to collaborate with external users.
Q. How do I find the surveys that have been shared with me?
A. Read instructions on how to access your shared surveys.
Q. How do I save a survey I’m working on? I don’t see a “Save” button.
A. Surveys are saved by default, even if they have not been published. The survey will appear in the list of surveys found on the My Surveys tab.

Q. My Single-Sign On (SSO) credentials changed, can I still access my previous Qualtrics account?
A. If your SSO credentials change (i.e. change in last name), please notify qualtrics@wlu.ca. A Laurier Qualtrics Brand Administrator will be able to transfer the surveys in your previous account into your new account. Please note, information in your Qualtrics Library as well as any shared surveys, will cannot be transferred over. It is recommended you download and save the information in your Qualtrics library, as well as make note of the surveys that have been shared with you so you can re-upload the library related content and reach out to the owners of the shared surveys to have them re-shared.
Q. How do I preview my survey before I distribute it?
A. Once you have finished building your survey, you can preview it to ensure that everything is working the way you want. Read instructions on how to preview your survey.
Q. I noticed a mistake in a survey that is already Active and collecting responses. Can I make changes to an Active survey?
A. You can still make changes to your survey even after it’s activated, but you’ll want to be cautious about making changes if you have already collected real data. Certain survey alterations can invalidate or delete parts of your already collected survey data. Read information on how to edit an Active Survey.
Q. I’ve created an anonymous survey, however, I want to offer a chance for participants to win a raffle prize, which would require them to include their contact information. How do I collect their contact information but make sure it is not associated with their response?
