On March 8, 2022, Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) was made available for students on an opt-in basis. It is strongly recommended that you opt-in before it is made mandatory on May 17, 2022. Once MFA is mandatory it will need to be enabled before you can access your email, Loris, Zoom, MyLS, and other key systems.
There continues to be a number of heightened cyber security incidents across Higher Education. MFA provides students with peace of mind knowing your account has that additional layer of security.
In a nutshell, MFA means using something besides a single username and password to access your account. Once enabled, whenever you sign in to your Laurier account you will be prompted to provide a second factor after providing your username and password.
Enrolling in MFA is easy and will only take a few minutes. Go to the MFA page to get started!
We’re here to help! You can contact the ICT team by submitting the Multi-Factor Authentication Troubleshooting and Feedback Form.
