The Office of Indigenous Initiatives and Laurier International invites you to attend a presentation on “Overcoming Barriers to Study Abroad for Better Engagement of Indigenous Students: A Data-Based Approach,” research project.

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives and Laurier International have conducted a literature review, survey, and focus group to better understand Indigenous student needs and preferences as it relates to engaging in international opportunities while at Laurier. Please join us to hear about the results of the research, the interpretation of the data, and discuss recommendations for planning future international educational programs to better meet Indigenous students’ needs and how our programming can be elevated through an Indigenous lens.

    Day and time: Wednesday, May 19, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m. EST using this form. You will also be able to submit any questions you may have about this project when you submit your RSVP.

The presentation will be hosted over Zoom. We will share the presentation link with all attendees on the morning of May 19.

    Sincerely,

Melissa Ireland, Director and Interim Senior Advisor, Office of Indigenous Initiatives

Phyllis Power, Manager, Global Engagement, Laurier International
