Adele Slater Award Application Form

In order to enter this award competition, please follow this three-step process:

1. Familiarize yourself with the Adele Slater Award, prior to submitting this application form;
2. Complete the entry form below and submit the form (remember to submit one form per piece if submitting to more than one category); and
3. Once the entry form(s) have been submitted, attach and send your piece(s) for consideration to thinkglobal@wlu.ca.

There are two prizes attached to this award that all currently registered undergraduate or graduate students at Laurier have the potential to win: either a $500 prize in the essay category (3,000 to 3,500 words) or a $500 prize in the shorter piece category (maximum 1,000 words).

Caveat: Students may submit only one piece to each category; however, a student can only win in one category. You must complete this form for each submission piece. 

The deadline to apply is Monday April 17, 2023
