Youth and Children's Studies Projects in ACERS 2021
The Academic, Creative and Engaged Research Showcase (ACERS) is a Laurier Brantford initiative where student research is on display for the Laurier community and general public. In 2021, the showcase was all digital and in addition to traditional poster presentations, students were invited to submit videos and podcasts. In particular, the Youth and Children's Studies program would like to highlight the following submissions, which were research projects by students in our upper-year courses:
Tyler Britz, Lillia Dockree, Delores Maas and Steve Parr - One Generation's Experience in Two National Pandemics - YC490. This project was part of Laurier Brantford's Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program; see the full project website for more information.
Laura Charteris - Educating Students with Emotional Behavioural Disorders - YC490
Shaina Ecclestone - Adolescent Dating Abuse - YC400
Delores Maas - Male Children and Youth Risks Impacting Non-Disclosure of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) - YC400
Siobhan Prow - The Art Experience Program - YC400
Braelyn Wettlaufer - The Correlation Between Childhood Anxiety Symptoms and Later Anxiety Disorder - YC400
Congratulations to the 2021 Prize Recipients, and well-done to all the student researchers!
