We are excited to announce some enhancements to Laurier's computer labs, as part of ICT's new computer lab strategy.
In our ongoing efforts to provide a seamless and advanced computing experience, we will be completing the transition from AppsAnywhere to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for software provisioning in computer labs across Laurier.

We understand the importance of a seamless transition, and our team is committed to ensuring minimal disruption to your work and studies.
Please see below for a list of notable project dates:
Throughout the Fall, Azure Virtual Desktop was successfully tested by faculty and students in the BA207 lab. This lab now has thin client computers installed, which are leaner and more economical.
AppsAnywhere will be permanently retired on April 30, 2024. AppsAnywhere will be available simultaneously with AVD in computer labs until the end of April, aiming not to disrupt the ongoing term.
As of May 1, all computer labs will have AVD available for accessing Laurier's software.
We are confident that the completed transition to Azure Virtual Desktop will improve your computing experience in Laurier computer labs. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this transition, please contact the ICT Service Desk.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to work towards enhancing Laurier's technological environment.
