LaunchPad Incubator

Laurier’s incubator, LaunchPad, run by the Schlegel Centre, provides support, mentorship and resources to startups, both traditional enterprises and social ventures, founded by Laurier students, alumni and community members at the Waterloo and Brantford campuses.

Once you have tested your startup idea through Laurier’s innovative curriculum and co-curricular experiences, you can apply to LaunchPad, located in the Communitech Data Hub in Waterloo and the Community Innovation Hub in Brantford, to bring your idea to life.

Do I need a business idea to apply to Laurier LaunchPad?

Yes, to be accepted into the Laurier LaunchPad, at minimum, you must have a clear concept of both the product (good or service) you want to bring to market and your business model.

Entry is competitive so the more developed your idea is the better.

Who qualifies for the Laurier LaunchPad program?

Laurier students and alumni are eligible to apply to LaunchPad. You may have supporting team members from other institutions or from the community at large.

What resources does LaunchPad provide for me?

Being a part of LaunchPad will provide you with access to our vast network of experienced entrepreneurs and mentors who can guide you through the process of building your business. LaunchPad startups have access to our workspaces available in the Communitech Data Hub in Waterloo and the Community Innovation Hub in Brantford. LaunchPad startups are also able to apply for special funding opportunities.
