About the Dean of Students

At Laurier, your Dean of Students is Dr. Adam Lawrence. As the Dean of Students, Adam is an advocate for students and strives to create a student-centered culture throughout the entire Laurier community, acting as a resource to students, faculty, and staff.

While your academic dean is responsible for your program and classroom-specific needs, the role of the Dean of Students is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction to departments dedicated to student well-being, student support, and student experience. While he provides support and leadership to all areas of the student experience, in his role, Adam directly oversees the following departments on campus:

As part of Laurier's Student Mental Health Framework, Adam and the Dean of Students Office work closely with all departments on campus to ensure that everyone on campus is working together to contribute to a culture where students feel valued, safe, and welcomeWe encourage all students to take full advantage of the wide array of resources, offered both on-campus and virtually, to help you maintain positive mental health so you can enjoy your time here at Laurier and be well while you study.
