LaunchPad

Laurier’s incubator, LaunchPad, run by the Schlegel Centre, provides unparalleled support, mentorship and resources (finance, marketing, accounting and technology) to startups founded by Laurier students, alumni and community members at the Waterloo and Brantford campuses.

Once you have tested your startup idea in Laurier’s innovative curriculum, you can apply to LaunchPad, located in the Communitech Hub in Waterloo and the Market Darling Centre (MDC) in Brantford, to make your idea happen.

How it Works

LaunchPad provides dedicated workspace free of charge for Laurier startups at:

  • The Communitech Hub (Kitchener)
  • The Accelerator Centre (Waterloo)
  • The Market Darling Centre (MDC) (Brantford)

The program operates in two parts:

  • LaunchPad Start focuses on achieving your product-solution fit through iteration and customer interviews. By the end of this part of the program, you will have confidence in whether your venture concept is viable.
  • LaunchPad Scale is for proven venture startups that are ready for rapid growth. Through the program you will grow your venture with the aid of mentors and the resources you require.

Upcoming Application Deadlines
