The Wilfrid Laurier University Association of Political Science Students was created to serve as the liaison between the Political Science student body and the Political Science department.
Wilfrid Laurier University’s Association of Political Science Students aims to foster social interaction between politically involved and motivated students, to provide academic and professional networking opportunities for students and faculty, and to further support the efforts of the study of political science on campus through a broad range of programming throughout the academic year.

The Sussex Association of Laurier (SAL) focuses on students enrolled in the Political Science (BA) + LLB program in the Waterloo campus. Our small team of hardworking students focus on gathering students inclined towards a career in politics or law.
As a registered association at Laurier under the Arts Undergraduate Society, the goal of this branch is to establish relationships between students and professors, commit towards creating a supportive academic environment, and present the array of resources the University and professors have to offer. We will be hosting a few events this year such as “Meet the Profs Night,” Study Sessions, and many socials.
The SAL will provide several opportunities for students to take on leadership roles and join a team which will give students the necessary skills and experience for employment down the road. Involvement in the SAL will also be recorded in the co-curricular records.
We look forward to helping Sussex students build the important relationships and learn new skills they will need for law school. We are excited to recruit students for SAL and look forward to an eventful year!

The North American Studies Student Association (NASSA) is comprised of a group of students that have a passion for North American topics such as borders, trade, business, history, indigenous groups, culture, politics, and more. As the North American Studies Program (NASP) at Wilfrid Laurier University is an interdisciplinary program, which is structured in a way that allows students to peruse several North American topics, we welcome students of all disciplines at the undergraduate level to our club.
NASSA has worked to build and develop relationships with professors, students, and other campus clubs in order to help our general members and executive team network, engage in discussion, and seek academic support and resources on and off campus.
Throughout the school year, NASSA will host several events in collaboration with other campus clubs, and administration. NASSA will also give students the opportunity to take positions of leadership that will prepare them for potential executive roles in upcoming years, and future employment opportunities. Involvement in NASSA and NASSA events will be recorded and documented on co-curricular records.
NASSA is a dedicated and hard-working group of students that will create and execute activities that are engaging, fun, diverse, and provoke thought within the minds of Wilfrid Laurier University’s community.
