Academic Calendars

The academic calendar contains official information regarding program requirements, course offerings and academic regulations.

It is an important document that you will reference many times throughout your time at Laurier to ensure you remain on track to meet graduation requirements

How to Use the Calendar

Undergraduate Students

1. Select the relevant academic year from the right-hand side bar.

  • Follow the requirements listed in the year that you entered your program. For example:
    • if you were admitted to Laurier in fall 2023, you will follow the requirements outlined in the 2023/24 academic calendar.
    • however, if you change your major in fall 2024, you will then need to use the 2024/25 calendar.
  • Continue to use the same calendar year requirements until you complete your degree.
  • It is possible that you will use two different calendars if you declared your major and your minor or option in different academic years.
  • If you are unsure which calendar year you are following, review your My Degree account, which lists your academic calendar year.

2. Choose the faculty that oversees the major, minor or option.

  • If you are unsure which faculty owns the program you are searching for, use the search bar located in the top left corner of the calendar.

3. Find your program (major, minor, option, etc.)

  • From here, you can review the course descriptions for courses in that discipline, including prerequisites and restrictions.
  • If you select the relevant major, minor or option, you can review its requirements and additional program notes.
