Accessible Learning Peer Support volunteers help students registered with Accessible Learning make the most of the accommodations and supports available to them at Laurier. Students can access Accessible Learning Peer Support in-person or online during posted drop-in hours.

Yasmina Elzagheid: Current graduate student in the Master of Business Administration program, who’s interested in pursuing a career within academia. I look forward to working with students and hope to bring something unique to Accessible Learning
Sophia Guardado: Hi! My name is Sophia, and I am a second-year English co-op student with minors in history and education. I believe education is the foremost and most crucial aspect of our lives because of the accolades of knowledge to achieve through teaching and learning, and I hope to make a difference in the lives of others!
Elysse Howard: Hi! I'm Elysse, a third-year student in political science minoring in religion and culture in hopes of going to law school. As an Accessible Learning student myself, I want to help others utilize Accessible Learning's resources and reach their fullest potential!
Alannah Bak: Hi! My name’s Alannah Bak and I am a fourth year student at Laurier with a major in Sociology and a minor in Education. In the past, I have worked and volunteered with people of all ages and I enjoy using my skills and knowledge that contribute to the advances of the environment. I have had experience in supporting and training other individuals and peers to work towards a similar goal and have found it resulting in a personal and working accomplishment.

Hi, my name is Caleigh Husak and I am a 4th year student at Wilfrid Laurier double majoring in Criminology and Forensic Psychology!
A Fun Fact about me is that I live very close to the beach where I enjoy taking pictures of sunsets! I love baking and reading books whenever I get the chance!
I am excited to be back interacting with other students and helping you navigate online resources as well as on campus resources in any possible way. I can not wait to meet and connect with all of you this year!
Hi. My name is Danielle and I am the volunteer Events and Special Projects Coordinator with Accessible Learning. I am a transfer student in the Community Health program and this is my first year at Laurier. I have done coordination of special events through a student job at Conestoga College within their Respect Campaign and am very excited to be part of the team at Accessible Learning.
Fun Fact: I was interviewed for local project called Citizens of Cambridge for Bell FibeTV that ran on the local station.

We are looking for academic coach, social media and accessibility awareness support coordinator volunteers. You can use this opportunity to coordinate programs, initiate projects and support your fellow Laurier students.
