Women and Gender Studies Student Representatives

Hi, I'm Hannah and am currently in my 3rd year, majoring in History, with a double minor in Women and Gender Studies and English! I am so grateful to be a student rep for this upcoming year. I can't wait to further connect with my peers in both the WGS and Laurier community! 

Hello, my name is Rebeca I am currently a 4th year Woman and Gender Studies and Political Science double major and I’m excited to be one of your 2026/2027 WGS student representatives. I’m passionate about connecting students with opportunities to learn, engage, and build community that can bring change. 

I’m Sisi, a final-year student at Wilfrid Laurier University completing a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I’m passionate about creating spaces where women’s voices are heard and represented, particularly in fields where women have historically been underrepresented. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Ontario’s first professional women’s sports league, which has strengthened my interest in supporting women and girls in sport.

My name is Emmerson and I am a third-year Sociology and Gender Studies double major, who's always had a passion for gender equality and social justice. I am greatly looking forward to serving as a student representative for the 2026-27 academic school year and want to encourage more incoming students to learn about our program!

The Centre for Women and Trans People

Laurier's Centre for Women and Trans People is a student service that strives to build a community of people and ideas that challenge and examine gender inequalities. In an effort to instigate change, this woman- and trans-positive space offers an extensive collection of academic, community and informational resources, as well as opportunities to actively engage in activism and awareness campaigns.

The Rainbow Centre

The Laurier Rainbow Centre is dedicated to enhancing the university environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer individuals in the Laurier community through awareness, promotion, education, advocacy and support.
