We encourage all students to submit their online student profile(s) through LORIS to be considered for competitive scholarship, award and donor-supported bursary opportunities.
These online student profiles open in the late summer and close in the early Fall yearly – keep an eye on your MyLaurier email for deadlines!
These online student profiles are open to all undergraduate and graduate students, including all full- and part-time students and international students.
By telling us about yourself through the completion of your profile, we can determine if you are eligible for a competitive scholarship, award or donor-supported bursary.
Decisions on recipients for all competitive opportunities are made on an ongoing basis. Recipients of competitive opportunities are notified by email between October and April.
All profiles are now closed for the 2021/22 academic year.
There are three different types of student profiles! General Student Profile, Faculty-specific Profile and the First-year Undergraduate Profile.
While the submission of a financial statement (included in some of the profiles) is not mandatory, we strongly recommend you complete this section as many award opportunities have a “financial need” component.
When a profile or application is available on LORIS, an email will be sent to your MyLaurier account. Make sure you check your MyLaurier e-mail regularly!
Profiles must be submitted by the stated deadline in order to be considered for all competitive scholarship, bursary and award opportunities for the current academic year.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
All decisions are at the discretion of the Student Awards Office.

All decisions on competitive opportunities are assessed on an ongoing basis between October and March of each academic year. Successful recipients will be notified by their MyLaurier e-mail.
If you complete the profile, there is no guarantee that you will be the successful recipient of an award. The profiles are competitive opportunities and the most eligible candidate(s) is chosen as the recipient.
If you do not receive an award this year, this does not mean that you will not be eligible in another year. By filling out the profile(s) every year, you will have the best opportunity to receive an award!
Instead of applying for specific awards, we have created the student profile(s) for Laurier students. By completing the profile(s), you are applying for all awards offered to Laurier students.
By telling us about yourself through the completion of your profile, we can determine if you are eligible for a competitive scholarship, award or donor-supported bursary.
We recommend that you complete all profile(s) available to you on LORIS. Remember, you must complete and submit your General Student Profile in order to receive access to the faculty-specific profile(s).
This video shows Laurier students how to upload required supplementary documents for scholarship/bursary/award applications on LORIS. The video demonstrates how to upload documents, delete documents, re-upload documents and where to monitor your document status.
If you have received any scholarship, award or bursary, you will recieve an email notification to your MyLaurier email account. You can also view your scholarship/bursary/award on your student LORIS account.
