Applying for Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries
We encourage all students to submit their online student profile(s) through LORIS to be considered for competitive scholarship, award and donor-supported bursary opportunities.
These online student profiles open in the late summer and close in the early Fall yearly – keep an eye on your MyLaurier email for deadlines!
These online student profiles are open to all undergraduate and graduate students, including all full- and part-time students and international students.
By telling us about yourself through the completion of your profile, we can determine if you are eligible for a competitive scholarship, award or donor-supported bursary.
Decisions on recipients for all competitive opportunities are made on an ongoing basis. Recipients of competitive opportunities are notified by email between October and March.
Student Profiles
There are three different types of student profiles! General Student Profile, Faculty-specific Profile and the First-year Undergraduate Profile.
While the submission of a financial statement (included in some of the profiles) is not mandatory, we strongly recommend you complete this section as many award opportunities have a “financial need” component.
When a profile or application is available on LORIS, an email will be sent to your MyLaurier account. Make sure you check your MyLaurier e-mail regularly!
Profiles must be submitted by the stated deadline in order to be considered for all competitive scholarship, bursary and award opportunities for the current academic year.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
All decisions are at the discretion of the Student Awards Office.
