Financial Support

Funding or paying for your tuition doesn't need to be stressful. The Indigenous Student Centre is here to assist you in finding resources to alleviate the financial stress of funding your studies. Explore the various financial support options available to you:

Funding With Scholarships and Bursaries

Laurier offers a range of scholarships and bursaries specifically for Indigenous Students

Funding Through Third-Party Sponsorship

Third-party sponsorship allows organizations like First Nations bands or Indigenous organizations to fund your education.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Taking a loan may seem challenging, but OSAP offers funding options that don't require you to take on debt. After completing the OSAP application, you can choose to receive only grant funding, which you don't need to repay. We encourage all Indigenous students, whether you get funding or not, to look into applying.  Learn more about OSAP and the Indigenous Student Bursary.

Provincial and Territorial Funding

Students who are not residence of Ontario but live in Canada can be eligible for student loans, grants and funding from your territorial or provincial government.
