Visit Parking and Transportation Resources to find out more about how to sign up for and use the sustainable transportation programs including:
Public Transit
Public Transit (or public transportation) is an opportunity for large groups of people to travel to different locations using a set route. Transit passes are automatically loaded onto students accounts for upcoming school years and are ready to go to help students enjoy all the city has to offer them.
Students on the Waterloo campus have access to Grand River Transit (GRT) through the use of their OneCard, which as of 2019 also includes the use of the ION light rail service.
For those who are new to the Region or have not used the GRT before, consider using the trip planning tool available through the GRT website.
Students on the Brantford campus have access to Brantford Transit through the use of their OneCard.
For those who are new to the city or have not used Brantford Transit before consider using the trip planning tool available through the Brantford Transit website.
Students on the Milton campus will be offered a cost-effective unlimited transit pass through the Token Transit app. The Wilfrid Laurier University term pass will be made available in four-month segments throughout the year (fall, winter, and summer)

Waterloo
Through a partnership with Neuron Mobility, you can rent e-scooters and e-bikes to get you to and from the Waterloo campus. This share program offers an easy, accessible, and affordable commuting option that also reduces your carbon footprint.
E-scooters and e-bikes are available at five locations across the Waterloo campus, including:
- Next to the bike racks behind Lazaridis Hall.
- The accessible parking lot in front of the Dr. Alvin Woods Building.
- In front of the main entrance to the Athletics Complex.
- In front of the main entrance to the King St. Residence.
- At the Bricker St. entrance to the Science Building.
To use the vehicles, you can download the Neuron Mobility App from the App Store or Google Play and add a payment method.
On Laurier’s Waterloo campus, Neuron e-scooters and e-bikes can operate on select paths that lead to one of the designated areas listed above. Geofencing has been installed on campus to make sure the vehicles remain in the designated areas and are not used on greenspaces. Speeds have also been limited to 15 kilometers per hour on the designated pathways.
The Brantford and Waterloo campuses are both equipped with secure bike storage to give you piece of mind when cycling to campus. Visit Parking and Transportation Resources for more information on accessing the program.
Waterloo
This secure bike storage facility was introduced by the Sustainability Office and Parking and Transportation Resources. Located on the south side of MacDonald House (beside lot 16), this gated facility offers space for up to 25 bikes. Once registered, you can access the space using your OneCard.
Brantford
This secure bike storage facility was introduced by the Sustainability Office and Service Laurier Brantford. Located within the Expositor Place parking garage, you can access the space using your OneCard once successfully registered.
Through our partnership with the Region of Waterloo’s TravelWise program, students from Laurier’s campuses can access the Laurier Student Carpool Network. This private online tool allows you to search for other students who have a similar commute and use designated carpool parking on campus.
For students who need to make either a specialized trip or a lengthy trip, Laurier has two designated spaces on campus for Communauto CarShare vehicles.
Located at Alumni Field and Northdale campus, these vehicles are available to rent (including gas, insurance, and maintenance) for short and long periods of time.
