Recruiting and Work Term Dates

For your convenience, we have compiled a listing of recruiting and work term dates to help you navigate your co-op experience at Laurier. Further detailed information can be found in the co-op events calendar on NavigatorNote: Recruiting dates are subject to change.

Winter 2023 Work Term (January 2 through April 28, 2023)

Continuous Recruiting Period

  • We will post jobs for the continuous recruiting period until all co-op students have secured employment for the winter.
  • During the continuous recruiting period, some employers will contact you to schedule interviews. Please send details of your interviews to your coordinator, so we don't schedule you for other interviews at the same time.
  • If you receive an offer from an employer, please let your coordinator know so we can notify other employers considering you.

SPRING 2023 WORK TERM (MAY 1 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2023)

Primary Recruiting Period

  • Thursday, January 12: We began posting co-op jobs for the spring 2023 work term
  • January 20, by 9 a.m.: Deadline for submitting intention form on Navigator.
  • Through January 23:  Last day we posted new jobs.
  • January 26 to February 6: Interviews.
  • January 30, 31, and possibly Feb. 1: Some interviews will take place in person on campus.
  • Wednesday, February 8 (afternoon): View how employers ranked you.
  • Thursday, February 9, by 9 a.m.:  Enter your rankings of employers on Navigator.
  • Friday, February 10, afternoon: Learn the results of the ranking and matching process.

Note: Employers and co-op students may not communicate between the interview and the time we release results of the match. If an employer contacts you during the primary recruiting period, you must send their message to your co-op coordinator.

Personal Job Search

  • You may conduct a personal job search any time.
  • Interviews we schedule take precedence over interviews through your personal job search, so please avoid scheduling interviews from January 30 through February 6.
  • Before accepting a job you find on your own, you must send details of the offer to your co-op coordinator so we can decide whether to approve the job for co-op.
  • You may not accept a job offer through your personal job search between the deadline for submitting your intention form, 9 a.m. on January 20, and the time we announce the results of the ranking and matching process, on February 10.

  • We will begin posting jobs for the continuous recruiting period on Friday, February 10, 2023.
  • If you are still seeking work for the spring, you will begin applying to job postings again.
  • During the continuous recruiting period, employers may contact you directly to arrange interviews and offer jobs. Please send details of your interviews to your coordinator, so we don't schedule you for other interviews at the same time.
  • We will post jobs for the continuous recruiting period until all co-op students have secured employment for the spring.
  • If you receive an offer from an employer, please let your coordinator know so we can notify other employers considering you.

FALL 2023 Work Term (SEPTEMBER 1 THROUGH DECEMBER 22, 2023)

Primary Recruiting Period

  • Thursday, May 11: We will begin posting co-op jobs for the fall 2023 work term.
  • Thursday, May 18, by 9 a.m.: Submit your intention form on Navigator.
  • Through May 24:  We will continue to post jobs, so check Navigator daily.
  • May 31 to June 8: Interviews.
  • May 31, June 1, and possibly June 6: Some interviews will take place in person on campus.
  • Monday, June 12 (afternoon): View how employers ranked you.
  • Tuesday, June 13, by 9 a.m.:  Enter your rankings of employers on Navigator.
  • Wednesday, June 14, afternoon: Learn the results of the ranking and matching process.

  • We will post jobs for the continuous recruiting period until all co-op students have secured employment for the spring.
  • If you receive an offer from an employer, please let your coordinator know so we can notify other employers considering you.

Winter 2024 Work Term (January 2 through April 24, 2024; jobs in CPA firms January 2 through April 30, 2024)

Early Recruiting Period for Capital Markets 

Jobs in trading, private equity, investment banking

August 17 and 18: View job postings on Navigator and begin applying.
August 21: Deadline for applying to capital markets roles. 
August 22:  Employers will begin contacting you to arrange interviews and extend job offers.

  • Please let your co-op coordinator know of any interviews you schedule.
  • All interviews will take place by video or phone, not in person.
  • During your work term, please try to schedule interviews at lunch or after office hours.
  • We ask employers to give you at least 24 hours' notice of interviews.
  • We ask employers to give you at least three days to consider job offers.
  • Please let your co-op coordinator know of any offers you receive.
September 8: Last day to accept job offers during the early recruiting period for capital markets.
