The Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD) and Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment (CSG) is a program funded by both the federal and provincial government. The purpose of the BSWD and CSG is to help eligible students meet the disability-related costs of postsecondary education.
In order to be eligible for this bursary, students must have applied for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and have identified themselves as permanently disabled on their application. Students must also have a calculated financial need in either the full-time or part-time OSAP. The bursary is non-repayable and taxable.
Students who have identified themselves as having a permanent disability on their OSAP application should follow up with the Accessible Learning Centre to ensure that they are considered for all appropriate available funding options. Connect with your disability consultant to learn about programs and next steps.
For further information, contact the Accessible Learning Centre and visit the OSAP website.
