Using Your OneCard

Meal Plans and Meal Plan Changes

Residence students will receive a mandatory meal plan of either Dorm or Apartment style. These plans are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Plan Changes and Deadlines

Meal plan change requests can be emailed to mealplanrequest@wlu.ca after you receive your invoice for tuition etc. until Sept. 30. Meal plan changes will not begin to be process until September 15th.          On Oct 1, all residence meal plans lock in for the academic year and cannot be changed. The plan locked in will be received again for the winter semester.

Requests for change must come from the student account holder only, using their Mylaurier email account. Included, we require your full name and student id number. It is strongly advised that you try your initial plan for a couple weeks before requesting a change.

Dorm vs. Apartment Plans, and Upgrading

If you are assigned dorm residence you will have a dorm plan by default, and apartments will receive the apartment plan automatically. Dorm students cannot request an apartment plan, but apartment students can upgrade to a dorm style by email request as outlined above.

Meal plan balances of flex dollars will Carry Forward and remain available for use at all the same participating food and beverage providers for as long as you are an active registered student. Dorm access to the Dining Hall-Fresh Food Company expires at the end of the semester purchased.

Meal plan balances cannot be used for Bookstore purchases or printing. For more information, see the Deposits, Balances and Refunds page.
