Safety continues to be a major focus within Parking and Transportation Resources. Cameras have been installed in numerous locations around campus and are monitored by Laurier's Special Constable Service.
There are also emergency poles located in numerous parking lots and areas throughout campus. Pressing the emergency call button will connect you directly to Special Constable Service Dispatch.

Several campus safety enhancements can be accessed via the SAFEHawk app on your mobile device. A Special Constable Service Emergancy call button is visible on the SAFEHawk homescreen. Select the Waterloo campus to access additional campus safety support services and information that is available to you such as Foot Patrol(walk, virtual walk and friend walk), share your location and campus maps.
Foot Patrol
If you have any concerns about your safety at night, please contact Hawk Walk to arrange for a walk or virtual walk. Hawk Walk services such as arranging for a walk, virtual walk and friend walk can be accessed via the SAFEHawk App

The university, and its employees and agents, assume no responsibility for any losses, charges or costs nor accepts liability for any accidents, damages or loss incurred to a vehicle, the driver or occupants while on site.
As part of the on-going campus safety initiatives, Laurier's Special Constable Service is partnered with the Brantford Police Service Downtown BEAT Unit and has implemented a campus surveillance system.
